A great day at Anstey Fair
On Sunday, Malting Cottages Bakery had a stall at Anstey Fair. What a lovely setting and the perfect weather saw plenty of visitors flowing through the entrance gate. This was the first fair I’ve done, so I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of demand for bread. My 25 loaves disappeared in no time; sold out in just over two hours. My handsome assistants did a wonderful job of drumming up trade and generating interest, handing out leaflets and chatting to prospective customers. It was a wonderful way to meet lots of people and let them know that there is now good bread on their doorsteps. The day was a great success all round and I hope to be invited back next year. A big thank you to the organisers and all the lovely people who bought bread.
